Final Reminders for Attendees

We’re excited to see you at WordCamp Manila 2017!

Here are some final reminders to ensure you have the best time at the event:

  • Schedule and Venue. WordCamp Manila 2017 is happening on Nov 11, 2017 at the iAcademy Plaza. Here are directions. Registration starts at 7AM! No need to print any tickets, but be sure to bring a valid ID.
  • Internet. Our Venue sponsor, iAcademy Makati, will provide WiFi for the event. But to ensure that you have fast, uninterrupted internet connection, we strongly advise attendees to bring their own wireless internet connection. We’ve found that SMART LTE is the most reliable provider in this particular location.
  • Register early for Breakout Sessions. Attendees must register in-person on Saturday morning for the track of their choice. Breakout rooms have limited seats. But good news, this year there are five breakout tracks to choose from. So if you don’t get in to your first choice, you can always go with your second or third choice.
  • Always wear your WordCamp Badge. For security and as a general rule, always wear your WordCamp badge when inside the event venue. Speaking of badges, make sure you’ll have a photo on your badge by setting up your Gravatar right now. It looks much nicer that way, trust us.
  • Bring your own laptop. Developer and Designer Tracks are full, hands-on workshops. So if you plan to participate in these tracks, be sure to bring a fully powered laptop.
  • Extension cords. Power outlets are limited in the main Auditorium and breakout rooms, so it’s advisable for attendees to bring their own extension cords if they want their devices continuously powered up.
  • Be mindful of our WordCamp Code of Conduct. All attendees are expected to abide by the Code of Conduct to ensure a friendly, safe and welcoming environment for all. And most importantly….
  • Have fun!  WordCamps are a celebration of the WordPress community. So make sure to mingle and interact with your fellow attendees. And be sure to say hi to the volunteers and organizers!
